Movie Park in Germany has announced that the characters from popular Nickelodeon show, Paw Patrol will be getting their own themed area. The new mini land will be called Adventure Bay and will be located in the already existing NickLand Kid’s Zone. Plans are in motion to have the new development ready to open in the Spring of 2019.
General Manager Thorsten Backhaus has said, “Apart from fast-paced rollercoasters and spectacular shows, it’s primarily family attractions that make up Movie Park Germany. The Paw Patrol animation series is particularly popular with young visitors. I’m also pleased that we have been able to further expand the co-operation with our Nickelodeon and are now able to provide a whole range of activities with this strong licence.”
The area will come complete with a brand new Zamperla Convoy Ride (with custom Paw Patrol themed ride vehicles). An interactive playground themed to the beach and finally, Swipers Sweeper (formally themed to Dora the Explorer) will be re-opened Zuma’s Zoomer. The park will host regular meet and greets with some of Paw Patrols most beloved characters. Parents will also be able to book special Paw Patrol themed birthday parties for younger guests to the park.
“We are very pleased to continue expanding our close partnership with Movie Park,” said Mark Specht, SVP and GM of Viacom International Media Networks in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. “Such partnerships are an important part of our strategy to provide children and families with new opportunities to meet and experience their favorite Nickelodeon characters.”
A majority of the design work has been completed by Movie Park Germany’s own in-house team (lead by Wiebe Damstra) while working closely in collaboration with Nickelodeon Experience Design. Other names already tied to the project are the Leisure Expert Group (Netherlands) and Rocas & Design (Spain). Both company’s have worked with Movie Park in the past to create some stunning rides and attractions.
