Blackpool Pleasure Beach are on the hunt for a new “Junior Board of Directors” to help with the future development of the park. Those who are chosen to join the Board will assist in the creation of new merchandise, park marketing, and customer engagement strategies.

To take part, potential board members must be between 11-15 years old and be able to combine their passion for theme parks with a knack for business. Chosen candidates will be appointed to the Board for two years initially but have the chance to remain on the Board until the age of 16 pending a successful review.

This role will not only give a unique perspective to the park in developing new strategies and offerings, but also give young people the chance to get their first taste of professional life in such an exciting industry.

“This is such an exciting opportunity for youngsters from across the UK, providing them with fun, thrilling and completely unique work experience… In the past, our junior directors have helped with some major decisions, even aiding in the creative thinking ahead of the launch of our new £16.25 million roller coaster, ICON.” said Amanda Thompson, managing director of Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Anyone interested in applying are invited to submit an application in any form online to show why they believe they’re right for the job. It can be written, photographic, video, or audio. Applications will close on Friday the 12th of October to be reviewed by a Pleasure Beach recruitment panel.

Successful applicants will go through to the next round in October where they will be invited to spend an action-packed day in the park before getting put through the paces with business challenges and activities.
